A native Californian who lived in the Washington, D.C. area from '85 to '95. A 46 year-old systems engineer in Silicon Valley. A motorcycle enthusiast and part-time safety instructor. A friend of people both nationwide and worldwide. An explorer who's been in 49 U.S. states, 13 countries, 4 continents, both hemispheres. A romantic (in most senses of the word). A peculiar blend of naturalist and technology advocate. A really perplexing blend of optimist, cynic, and realist.
