India / Nepal Trip - March, 2008

Launched: 03/31/2008

The main purpose for my going to India in the first place was to be there for David's and Mugdha's wedding. It was a beautiful affair- so full of life, color, tradition. While the wedding COULD have lasted for many days, it was held to only eight hours. Many of the guests were visiting from other areas of India (to say nothing of those of us from international places), and they had to get home for work. Still, it was much more interesting and fun than the traditional western wedding.

David managed to find a ready-made suit that was just what was needed, but I had to have one made. I selected the fabric (though they used another anyway), some style things, and the tailors made it OVERNIGHT. I believe Nancy's sari was made overnight as well.
