The 2007 California Explorer Search and Rescue Technical Skills training weekend was held in Castle Rock State Park,
on April 14th and 15th. The weather started out quite wet, which made things rather miserable on the first day. Fortunately it cleared up for the second day, which was when most of the work was done. Being a little cool, it kept us from getting too hot or sunburnt. Because of the cloud cover and dense tree canopy overhead, it was often rather dark throughout the weekend. This made it a little difficult to get good photos without a flash. As such, there's some noticeable blurring in many of the shots. In some cases, I think it adds to the feeling of "motion" that's occuring in the photos. Still, I've not posted the shots that were quite blurry, nor those which didn't show some in their "best light" ;-)
