I assume you are parking for winter....

Darrin, I take the easy route.....get a squirt can filled with outboard motor oil
(it has good moisture inhibitors)  with the engine idling, and top of air cleaner
removed, quickly squirt oil down all the velocity stacks until the motor "gags"
and almost dies.  Shut it off.

When spring comes, fire it up, burn out the oil and change the plugs then.
