There are two pivots in the shifting system, one on the actual shifter lever, and the other on the shift rod that enters the tranny. All I did was remove the screw on the tranny shift rod pivot and rotate the pivot on the shift = rod CCW so that when you press the shift lever down it in turn pulls this = pivot up (just the opposite as stock). You may need to turn the tranny pivot = a bit more CCW or CW to get the optimum leverage to your liking. In order = for the pivot on the shift rod to clear, I needed to do some trimming on the foot peg brace. All my mods were done on the outside and took minimal = time to do it. Also everything is reversible except the modified foot peg = brace. I hope this helps you out, I know I like it but it DOES take a bit of getting used to. -Don Mason # 970 - -----Original Message----- From: TachMax & Boss Lady To: Don Mason ; vmax list Date: Wednesday, November 03, 1999 8:32 PM Subject: Re: Vmax re: electric shifter 2 >don.. someone asked a little while back on how to reverse shift pattern >using the shifter and I told them to talk to dale walker... was that = you? >yes, or no, want to explain how you reverse shift pattern.. i'm >curious.paul.
