A good starting point is 1/3 of sag at both, front and rear - which is the length the springs collapse from being fully extended to partly compressed with the rider&bike weight. Best is to keep them equal in percentage of total travel length. Of course you can do it the gut feel way and tighten the rear up until it fits.
