As we discuss plug readings keep this in mind....If you want to check
mixture for a given jet you have to hold a steady throttle for several
minutes at the area of throttle you are jet checking. After several
minutes of cruising, hit the kill switch, pull in the clutch and coast
off the side of the side of the rode and immediately pull the plug for
inspection. (You should have the plug wrench in your pocket and ready)

It only takes a moment to change color on a plug so if you change gears
and "putz" to a stop you won't have a totally accurate reading.

This method is very critical on 2 stroke engines but effects 4 stroke
engines as well. Good Luck!
