Hey every one just a couple of things I want to through past every one.
First we all know the oil pump doesn't put out the volume and pressure
needed to run a modified V-MAX. I have been working with a shop to make 2
each aluminum gears that will replace the oil pump gear (28 T) and the oil
pump drive gear (15). I will over drive the oil pump by 14.7% which will
speed up the oil pump from 4468 RPM to 5130 RPM at a engine speed of 9500
RPM. This should bring the oil pressure to around 80-85 PSI when oil is hot.
You will have to put a .040 thou shim under the oil pump relief valve spring
and your good to go for high HP.
Second I have been working with a company to make a totally programmable
ignition timing control box which will work from 1400 RPM to 14,000 RPM.
This box will go between your existing igniter box and coils. With this You
can totally program the timing curve, retard, advance using a Lap top or PC
computer. You make your own timing map to your desire. Now what I need to
know is how many people will be interested in the oil pump pressure upgrade
kit and how many people might be interested in the Programmable timing
ignition box. The price of the pump kit should be around $100.00 if
quantities are high enough. The ignition box should run around $425.00. Take
care and e-mail me with your concerns or imputes. Thanks
