Just put good 93 pump gas in it. If you use something like CAM2 (?) or higher octane gas, you will actually slow the bike down. The higher the octane rating, the slower the fuel burns. This is necessary for high compression engines, to keep combustion temp down and to avoid preignition and detonation. I have seen these results at the track and on the dyno. 2hp loss on 114 octane fuel on the dyno, .2 seconds in the 1/4 mile. (on a stock bike) I'd say run a mid-grade fuel for even more power, but I can't verify that it will make the bike any faster...just that high octane fuel will slow it down. Besides, I have no idea how those octane improving fuel additives work, or if they work. - -- Justin Lassy (V)Maximum Performance Motorcycle mailto:Vmaxtuner@earthlink.net
