Subject: Re: Vmax Front brake switch

When my Front brake switch stopped working it was pretty easy to fix it. I
took it off the bike by removing the screw and worked it open with a razor
blade (you don't have to cut it the pieces are not glued together). The
switch was sticking because it seemed to travel too far and couldn't spring
back (if you work the switch a few times you'll see what I mean). I cut a
small piece of rubber and glued it against the plastic housing between the
plastic and the piece of the switch that touched the plastic when it would
get stuck (this is difficult to explain without looking at it - I basically
shimmed the switch so it couldn't travel as far and get stuck). Thats it,
try the switch a few times to make sure your rubber shim is thick enough and
then put it back on your bike.

Hope this helps,
Cliff
