PENINSULA RED RIDER'S (SOUTH BAY CHAPTER OF THE HONDA RIDER'S CLUB OF AMERICA) Thanks to everyone who replied with information on Lucas Valley Rd. I was able to get the straight scoop from the City Works Department. It seems Lucas Rd. was resurfaced with a top coat that didn't agree with the old surface so it decided to separate, which means they had to tear up the new and old paving. When that's done it should make for a great road in the future. So it looks like we will take Sir Francis or Novato Rd. instead. Sun. March 16th: Lake Berryessa. We will take back roads around Petaluma, cross through Santa Rosa through Napa over Angwin to Lake Berryessa. I road these roads last year and it is a great ride. It will be a long but enjoyable day. My map shows about 270-300miles from Honda Peninsula and back to the South Bay. There will be a few conveniont places that you can cut out early if you have to be back earlier. Any clubs from up north that would like to join us? Meet: Honda Peninsuls at 7:45am. or meet at Vista Point on the North side of the Golden Gate Bridge.(GGB) at 9:00am. If you are coming from north of the bridge and want to avoid paying the toll. Use the vista point on west side of 101. You can see the parking lot from the east side and we will check there before we leave. ___________________________________________________________________________ Rides are open to any make of motorcycle, so anybody is welcome.
