Eric,

I had my '93 computer replaced with the '94 computer and the surging
problems went away.  Driveability has been greatly improved.  Yamaha
provided the '94 computer under warranty, but I sure had to jump through a
lot of hoops before they did.

If your GTS is still under warranty and you want to try to get the computer
replaced, let me know and I will send you my telephone number off list so
that we can talk.  I can give you some suggestions about how to approach
Yamaha that should be helpful.
